After the Potatoeresque break at the kangaroo Country, We take the road for Adélaïde to take of steps to finalyse and other boring thing to do. The way from Nildottie to Adélaïde was not so easy.

The 4 wheels drive of cécile and Fabian who began to have a low battery decide to stop at the top of the mountain. We chokedit with the van. More later on the road, it was our turn to stop in a garage because there was some noises in the motor like a problem of belt. One hours and few hundred dollars later, Cécile and Fabian call us, they broken down, so they called the inssurance who fixed the problem one hours later.

In our case, we arrived in adélaïde and the crazy guy Rémi wanted to check his van because the noise is still in the motor. 2 garage later and two call at the insurrance...the verdict is... the van cannot go to perth, the motor is dead.

The atmosphére was very strange !! Cécile and Fabian had to visit a friend... start the vehicule was impossible, the 4X4 do a lot of strange thing. Call to RAA and hop they can start again. For the Rémi's van, we try an another garge who said to him, the motor is oki doki and what the other garage said was bullshit. He moved the belt and after no more noise !!! Magic.

We take the road for The Flinders Ranges – Middle mountain, nationnal park in the north of the south australia – with a lift, two english people, Zoé and Jim who follow us until Perth.

Our arrived in the Flinders Ranges was under the rain because the winter is definitly here.... the night comes very early (5pm). We pitch the tent in a campground for talk and exchange with Zoé and Jim.

The tomorow morning, small walk in the mountain until some lookout. In spit of the weather, the landscape was very impressive. During the afternoon, i'd take another than the other to follow a kangaroo. But after few minute i was in the middle of the forest with a lot of break trees in a dense vegetation without way . After half hours i was going out, unfortunately, despite the signs on the ground (i have never seen), i was come back to the car. After the sunset, i began to be very worried about my friend, i decided to enquire at the information center and the last hicker but no one seen them. One hicker scared me because she said to me « it's very easy to be loose in tihs mountain ». Finally, at the same moment, i heard the voice of Cécile...and the 4 other guy's who follow !!! It was 6pm.

The evening, we had sleep without pitch the tent, tree people per vehicule because the weather was very bad.

Monday, We decide to visit a place at 40km at the north of the Flinders Ranges, le landscape were not very beautiful but original...desert mountain !!

Tuesday, we climb at the st Mary Peak (1190m), hick of 20 kilométre. Cecile decid to stay at the car because she was tired. We went very early in the morning, not sure of the weather of the day. Finally, after a shower in a morning, the weather was pretty good for walking. The way was very interresting with a lot of variety of landscape and different type of vegetation. At the peak, the view were amazing, we could see all the mountain.

It was our last day in the Flinders Ranges, the next step : Port Augusta, the door of the road between Adélaïde and Perth (2700km – Paris-Moscou). On Port Augusta, last check before the departure for the van. We wanted to be sure the van could arrive in Perth. The 4X4 took one day on us but the time in the town was enable us to do the shopping for the Jim birthday (25ans).

The check finish, we took the road...

This road is entirely asphalt since 35 years, it's just one way on 2700km. On a map, we can see a lot of « town » until Norseman but it was just some motel et petrol station in the middle of nowhere.

During this trip, we visit the whale, we changed two time of hours !!! At the border with the Western Australia, One inspector check our van to find some good like honey or vegetable, seed, etc... to spar some contamination of the field...

After that, we decided to continu the road until the first real town (Norseman) to join the other guys. We drive on the most longuer straight way in the world. 145Km without turn. I drive the begining of the night until the moment when i saw a light on a campground. I decide to u turn and i found the other who went to sleep. Happy to meet each other, we sleap on place, we talk the road again tomorow.

The tomorow, we went until Esperance in the Nationnal park during two day to do the Jim birthday and visit some beautiful place like the beach with the white sand and the Frenchman rock, point of view on the national Park.

After, on the road we do a lot of visit : Wave rock at hyden, granit formation, Walpole Wilderness and it's walk at the top of the trees and Pemberton where there are two big tree (70m), where we can climb on the canopy.

Margaret River, the last step before Perth, and the second step of my trip... The 4X4 and the van had some problem on there. Each vehicule call his own insurance. Finally, the van staid during some day for fixed the problem (1200$au). Positive point : we can live in a cottage during tree day, so we do the last party all together in the house.

The 4X4 and Zoé and Jim goto Perth, strange, very strange... i begin to write a new step of my travel. In my case, i finish my lift in Perth !! The follow is not really decided, but i think i going to Broomes in the sunshine, and after darwin before to go to new zealand in winter (august).

Today, after three night in the cottage, we come back into the van on the car park of the petrol station. The garage open the doors tomorow mornig for 1 hours of work to finish to fix the car..

Apparté : A friend (Piergé), just begin a new assciation with the university where he working. Association : PANI (water in Indi). The aim of this association is to put in a phyto-treatment (treatment by the plants), in a small village of india.
