We never know where the winds carry out us

The way without Ending of the australian continent !

Eyes rivetted on the Horizon,

Hands fixed on the wheel,

In background, the noise of the van and the voice of the agitated moderator of the “local” station

Hung at the wheel, glance on the horizon

The Grampian Nationnal park appears, already,

There remain a hundred kilometers, but the green stone is posed there, like a small island of life in the middle of a desert burning of desire to all devastating.

Hall Gaps is a small village in the middle of the park, it look like a small mountain station. Snow in less.

The van is installed. Three days trip on average mountain! The head in clouds the day, the head in stars the night… Up there, to look at, we can see the south cross…

we connects stroll and meetings, local fauna shows itself rather co-operative. Kangaroo, walibi, parrots… Emilie and Vincent. The good surprise of the trip. After a small day of walk and a good shower, two heads leave a van. An occasion to pass a good evening and share some beers at night.

The next morning, one takes the road for Great Ocean Road.

Great Ocean Road, that starts with Torquay, mythical city of surfing Australien, it acts by way of a great beach with the Vendean one.

Fortunately, a few kilometers further, it is the alternation of cliffs, splits and a blue water which subjugates you!!! Without comment, except for that I have this malicious defect always to compare Australia with our landscapes Breton and French which are, it should be said. Splendid!!!

There still, one discovers splendid environments and landscapes, as this Scottish environment with the 12 apostles (who are 6 now).

Temperate rain forest”, jungle of tree ferns, cascades and freshnesses with a few kilometers of the sea. Forest indicated by old crazy Australian, a straight left of Tim Burton movie's.

To know, move away.

While moving away from the tourist roads, one discovers minor roads, often a little hard, just some stones on the floor, which can traverse kilometers in a landscape of hill to lead to one or more dwellings (not always marked on the map). And there still, of the light effects and unreal landscapes.

Impossible to describe… I put some picture who do not return the ambiance.

Great Ocean Road is already finished. We decided to prolongs pleasure, also we took the coast way to join Adélaide, it remains 5OO km. This distance is largely enough to hide exceptional landscapes. Drained salted lakes, gray dunes, birds, the sunset…i didn't see sunrise, it's too early !!!

In North, it was Corrong!!!

Meet with the monster of the Moors, the snake “sunset”…

One finishes by this last national park before our arrival in Adélaïde. The next stage already know it to you thanks to Cécile, it is Kangourou Island!!!

Take care,

The Pirate
